Tell people you are going to be attending the event by using your Social Media and by using any advertising flyers you have of the event. Also if you have a database of clients let them know too and invite them along to the event.
Make sure you are aware of the Set Up times and Packing Away times for the event and you have information on access to the Venue for unloading & parking for the day thereafter.
On the day make sure you have looked in advance and know the space you have purchased and that you have told the organiser that you require a table & require power. Check that all your electrical plug in items are PAT tested.
If this is your first fair, put your stand up somewhere before the day to make sure you know how it all looks and that it will fit in the space you’ve booked. This will save you time setting up on the day and make sure you look professional.
Make sure you’ve ordered plenty of business cards and flyers to take and ensure the information on these is current and correct. Also make sure that your website and social media are up to date – customers may look you up after the show to get more information.
First impressions count. Make sure your space stands out, building height to your stand will help to attract customers and showing them at a glance what you sell. Engage with customers with a friendly smile to greet them with.
